It is high tide. Just for my non-boating readers: Each bridge on the Intracoastal Waterway has a spot that tells you the distance from the water to the bottom of the bridge. In this picture, you can see a large rectangular white sign at the middle of the bridge. Underneath that is something akin to alarge ruler. It is similar to the ones we northerners might put out to measure snow. Currently, it it is showing 62 feet. The tide is so high that some of the supports are almost totally covered. LUX cannot fit underneath that bridge at this time.
We'll be anchored here for a while. Our trip going south will be just a little bit longer today. Currently, we are relaxing. This brings to mind that old son - Sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tides roll away....
