Leaving Beaufort

It's Thursday morning, and we are headed out of Beaufort. You might ask where we are headed, and the answer would be, "South!" We're actually in between locations. There are no towns within a day's reach from here. So the plan is to go as far as we can and anchor out.

It is a beautiful morning here in Beaufort. The forecast for today says that the temperature will be around 72 degrees.

Yesterday, our friend on Fifth Quarter caught up with us. When we last left Dave, he had met up with us in Norfolk. That's where Terry got off Fifth Quarter and rejoined the LUX crew. Dave had friends coming in to help sail his boat, so we took off. We've spent time playing tourist, so he caught up. Now, we'll be traveling together for a bit.

                        FIFTH QUARTER

Last night was Dave's birthday. We joined him and his crew at Clawson's for dinner - our second night at this restaurant. Honestly, it's no hardship to eat at Clawson's. The food is so tasty, the portions are large enough to ensure you have a good lunch the next day, and the prices are great. It's one of our favorite places to eat in Beaufort.

After dinner, we all came back to LUX to continue the celebration. Deb, from the crew of Fifth Quarter, had made carrot cake cupcakes. We gladly shared those yummy treats with them. We had a lovely evening.

We were up bright and early this morning in order to get an early start. It's a beautiful day, and we're headed south.
