Morning in Palm Cay

It's a partly cloudy morning here in Palm Cay.

Last night ended with high winds and low ceiling. I feared we would not see the sun today. But, the winds have died down a bit, and the sun is shining.

The cats across the marina appear to be sleeping in this morning. Not much action over there right now.

As you can see, this is the marina of the big cats. We feel rather petite sitting across from them.

Last night's pizza and jazz was a hit. They had a buffet with two types of pizza, chicken Alfredo, and a pasta with seafood. All of it was tasty. And the jazz band was great. It's a small venue, and they did not blast us out of the room!

This morning, we hope to head out. However, this truly is a gated community. They have a big gate at the entrance with a guard who checks you in and out.  And, they raise a chain across the harbor entrance at night. It stays up until 9 AM, unless you ask for an earlier time. However, the coffee shop opens around 6, if you have the energy to walk up there. Myself? I will be having a lovely coffee courtesy of Peggy's Cafe à LUX.

Looks like a great start to a great day! Not much going on here, which is OK with me. I'm having coffee and doing a little admin.

Yay for down time. No nasty ice machines to pick on you. We'll be taking down time today as well. The weather is VERY windy!
